Have you ever wondered how some people just seem to have it so easy in life?
Everything they touch seems to turn to gold, they are always happy, always traveling somewhere, in great relationships, have the best careers, and never seem to worry about anything.
If this isn't describing your current situation, you may be thinking,
"How are they able to do that when I'm over here on the struggle that is DEFINITELY real? Can somebody please tell me how to get to Easy Street?"
Well, lean in and listen close, because I'm about to give you the scoop on how YOU (yes you) can have a life of ease, no stress, and filled with everything you desire.
And it will not take your entire lifetime to get there.
Ready?
One word.....CHOICES.
Now this probably seems ridiculously obvious, but you would be amazed by how some people simply let life "happen" to them while others are actively making choices that provide them with the type of lifestyle they want to experience. They make a conscious decision to pay close attention to how they feel, acknowledge their own worthiness to experience whatever they desire, and then make choices that align with those beliefs.
It's THAT simple.
Here are some examples of conscious choices that help enrich your life:
· Choosing to focus on things that make you feel good.
· Selecting life partners that bring added value to your life.
· Creating careers that align with your inner passions.
· Keeping a friend-base that is supportive and uplifting.
· Discussing topics that inspire and avoiding negative conversations, judging others, or fruitless gossiping.
Again, seems obvious, right?
But how many of us find ourselves in stressful or frustrating situations on a regular basis? It could be caused by job that you go to everyday, dreading the commute and the job itself. Or because of a relationship that has run it's course but you stay because it's familiar. Maybe it's the friend base that you have either out-grown or who have become energy draining forces in your life. No matter what it may be, you always have the ability to make a different choice to get a different outcome.
Free Will is REAL, y'all.
You are never stuck in any position. You have the freedom to make a new choice that will provide you with the joy you deserve in this life. Remember those people we talked about earlier who seem to have it all together? Well, they actually don't. They have problems and ups and downs like the rest of us. But they also have a fast-track to a quick fix when life's obstacles try to get in their way:
They exercise their right to make a new CHOICE to get them back to the happiness they know they deserve.
You can do this yourself by asking yourself questions like these on a regular basis:
Do I love what I'm doing with my life? If I had the choice to make a living in a way that brought me the most joy, would the job I have right now fit the bill? Is the person I wake up to every day the one I would choose again if given the choice to start over? Am I content in my life exactly where I am in this moment?
If you confidently said "yes" to all of these questions, please proceed to the other side of the velvet ropes. My job is done here. You are beyond my encouragement, and in fact, please don't leave right away because I'd like to take some notes from YOU.
But...for the rest of us who could only muster up a half-hearted "eh" when answering the above questions, do not worry. There is hope for us...and can you guess why?
You got it....because we have the freedom to make different CHOICES!
Make it a habit to regularly re-evaluate your life, from your career, to your relationships, friendships, interests, etc. If you come to an area that you notice causes you pain, stress, or sadness more often than not, that is your signal to start exercising your right to choose something different.
If you make this an ongoing part of your life's journey, before you know it, your GPS will guide you straight to your new residence on Easy Street.
